Review the day without putting yourself on trial

Think through the day calmly. Notice what you are grateful for, where you acted well and where you need to make something right. Reflection should lead toward honesty and growth, not endless self-criticism.

Thank God for specific things

Name two or three concrete gifts from the day: a conversation, food, safety, laughter, progress, rest or help from another person. Specific gratitude is easier to remember than a vague statement.

Ask forgiveness and plan repair

If you hurt someone or acted against your values, name it plainly. Prayer can include asking forgiveness, but responsibility may also mean apologizing or changing your behavior the next day.

Pray for people by name

Choose a few people rather than trying to mentally cover everyone you know. Pray for what they are facing, and consider whether there is also a practical way you can support them.

Release tomorrow

You can prepare responsibly without solving tomorrow before you sleep. Name the biggest concern ahead, decide the next action that is actually yours, and leave the rest with God.
